Breastfeeding was a longtime goal of mine, even before my baby was conceived. I think like many moms, the dreams of sweet and comforting bonding were my son were complete knocked askew by the struggles and hardship breastfeeding actually was. The first seven weeks were the most painful, but then after that more struggles ensued. I’m so grateful for the support I received and I stuck with breastfeeding for 14 months.

For mother’s day my husband commemorated my triumph with my dream ring – customized and designed with Little Foots Jewelry. I am extremely proud of myself and entirely grateful to my community of encouraging mom friends, my hands-on husband, and my own mom. I smile looking at my ring every time, and I think, “I did that!”
